Curly Maple Table

I designed and built this table while attending a course at Rosewood Studio in 2003. The legs have an interesting curve on their outer two edges, and the aprons on the table are curved and beveled to match the legs. The table top has curved edges, and the edges are beveled to match the curve on the legs. The table top appears to float above the aprons and wrap around each of the four legs. It is actually supported by a couple of hidden brackets underneath, and is not attached to either the legs or the aprons.

Finished with 5 coats of a hand-rubbed oil finish (equal portions of tung oil, Waterlox and paint thinner).
